Choose the correct phrase in the piece.
Which phrase tells the effect of water becoming too hot and pressure becoming too high?
Geysers at Yellowstone
If you ever have a chance, you must go see the geysers at Yellowstone National Park. Geysers are holes in the ground where hot
water
and steam shoot out. The pressure under the ground becomes so high and
the water is so hot that it can't stay underground.
When
the water
cools down, it stops shooting out of the ground. Then the process
starts over.
If something happens to the way the rocks are formed underground, a geyser could change or even stop. People can ruin a
geyser
if they throw trash into it. Geysers are very neat to see. We must take care
of them so that other people can see them, too.
