In the scenario in which all pings were run from a computer located in the United States, when data is traveling within the same continent (North America) the average ping time in milliseconds dramatically increases as compared to data from north america traveling to different continents. This is due the fact that the ping time depends on the connection type and the distance as well. The greater the distance , the longer the ping time.
