Please please please help me with the answer

In Troy's class there are 3 more boys than girls. There are 33 students in all. How many boys are there in Troy's class?

Girls : x

Boys : x + 3

Total : x + ( x + 3 ) = 33

x + x + 3 = 33

2x + 3 = 33

2x = 33 - 3 = 30

x = 30 / 2 = 15 girls

15 + 3 = 18 boys

18 + 15 = 33
