Gatekeeping is when relatively few people control what content the audience gets. I am aware what it is, but curious to hear feedback from others.

I'd say it's increasing because people are becoming more and more protective of what is viewed in public. People are more obsessed with non political things and foul language is hardly ever not bleeped out.
