Other than controlling depth of field with f/stops, we can control it by changing the focal length of the lens. The photo taken at 50 mm will have a greater depth of field than the one taken at 200 mm.
The shorter the focal length of the lens, the greater the depth of field. If you use a 50 mm lens, you will get far more depth of field than using a 200 mm lens set at same aperture and distance.
