Brenda won 59 lollipops playing hoops at
the county fair. At school she gave two to
every student in her math class. She only
has 1 remaining. How many students are
in her class?

30. since there is 1 remaining, you take that away from 59, leaving you with 58. you would then divide 58 by 2 since each classmate gets 2. that results in the final answer of 29. however, she’s in that class too so you would add one for her making it 30
