The school made $204 on the second day by selling 2 senior citizen tickets and 14 student tickets. Find the price for a senior citizen ticket and the cost for a student ticket.

then substitute:

2x+14y=204 --> x+7y=102 --> x=102-7y

11x+7y=212 then use this equation ^ to make it 10x+7y-7y+102=212 --> 10x+102=212 --> 10x=212-102 --> 10x=110 --> x=11 so then price of senior ticket is 11 and then 11*11=121 and 212-121 is 91 and 91/7=13
