1. What do you see that we can fix, by causing all of this trouble? He is pretty much just asking what do you hop to get out of this rioting. I think this a very broad question and he wants the audience to really think. To think about why we cause trouble to fix things.

2. By addressing the audience directly you can hit that sense of emotion and you can really make the audience think. It's a really great writing tool. Questions or queries can make for great endings.
