I believe that would be 9 & 131/250 Because you start with 9& 524/1000 cut that in half would be 9& 262/500 cut that in half would be 9& 131/250
[tex]9.524=9+0.524=9+\frac{524}{1000}=9\frac{524}{1000}=9\frac{524:2}{1000:2}=9\frac{262}{500}=9\frac{262:2}{500:2}=\boxed{9\frac{131}{250}}[/tex]
