How does variation in the measuring device (instrument) effect the measurements obtained on a component?

Variation of measuring device might have differenct readings on a components because the equipments used might have different measuring instrument, calibration, fixturing, etc. this might cause Systematic errors are errors that are not determined by chance but are introduced by an inaccuracy (as of observation or measurement) inherent in the system.
