Ballroom dancing is traditionally done with two people to where hip hop you can dance by yourself or with a group of people. Ballroom and hip hop have many different styles, ballroom dancing has salsa, foxtrot, etc. Hip hop has pop, crunk, etc.
Modern dance don't have as much rhythm as where ball room dances you had a certain chain of moving. Hope i helped
