6 = t + 2t = 3t

w = 2t = 2*2 = 4
first 8-2=6 so we still need to find the color of 6 of them, and if there are twice as many white than there are tan, we do 6 x 1/3= 2 (the number of tan puppies) and 6 x 2/3= 4 (the number of white puppies)
