Showing the ideal of philosopher-king, "The Statue of Marcus Aurelius" is one of the finest examples of ancient roman works.

The Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius is an ancient Roman statue found in the Capitoline Hill of  RomeItaly. The said statue is made of bronze, stands  4.24 m tall.

Even though  the emperor is mounted, it demonstrates many similarities to Augustus’ standing statues.
