The third stage of labor is the period that follows the completion of the delivery of the baby. At this stage, the uterus still contract pushing the placenta out. However, if it does not goes out after 5 minutes, certain measures should be done to remove the placenta. One method is to get it by hand. Also, medications can be used to make the uterus contract more. Another method would be that you will be encourage to urinate more often.
