Fran’s opinion that religion provides justifications for
people who occupy positions of wealth and power in our society most closely
resembles that of Karl Marx. The works of Karl Marx laid a lot of
emphasis the link between religion and the economic or social structure of society and suggested that religious beliefs can give
justifications for those people who are in positions of power.
