the length of a rectangular building is 6ft less than 3 times the width. The perimeter is 120 ft. Find the width and the length of the building.

the L=3w-6
P=2L+2W=120ft
lets write the P=2(3w-6)+2w=120
P=6w-12+2w=120
8w=132
w=132/8=16.5
L=(3*16.5)-6=43.5
P=2(16.5+43.50)=120
